Tennessee Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) Certification
- Cattle (beef and dairy) producers must have a current (not expired) BQA at time of application
- Certification must be in the name of the applicant
- BQA is an educational class on cattle management and care
- Courses are available in-person and online
In-Person Certification
• BQA trainings are administered in-person by your local UT Extension office (utextension.tennessee.edu)

Online Certification
Online BQA courses are eligible through the following organizations:

- Select online certification option which best fits you
- Follow instructions to complete training
Beef Quality Assurance – www.bqa.org
- Visit www.bqa.org
- Click “Learn More” under “Certification”
- Click “Online Course”
- Select the BQA option that best fits your operation
- You will need a valid email address to set up an account
- Make sure to select Tennessee as your state
- You will be able to print and save your BQA certificate/card when you complete the course
