Tennessee Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) Certification

  • Cattle (beef and dairy) producers must have a current (not expired) BQA at time of application 
  • Certification must be in the name of the applicant
  • BQA is an educational class on cattle management and care
  • Courses are available in-person and online

In-Person Certification

•    BQA trainings are administered in-person by your local UT Extension office (utextension.tennessee.edu)

Online Certification

Online BQA courses are eligible through the following organizations:

  • Click “Shop” on top menu bar
  • Select online certification option which best fits you
  • Follow instructions to complete training

Beef Quality Assurance – www.bqa.org

  • Visit www.bqa.org
  • Click “Learn More” under “Certification”
  • Click “Online Course”
  • Select the BQA option that best fits your operation
  • You will need a valid email address to set up an account
  • Make sure to select Tennessee as your state
  • You will be able to print and save your BQA certificate/card when you complete the course
