Cigna Dental Oral Health Integration Program

For dental plan members enrolled in the Cigna Dental Health Maintenance Organization, or DHMO, there is an Oral Health Integration Program.

With this program, out-of-pocket costs are reimbursed for preventive dental treatments to combat dental issues such as gum disease and tooth decay. It is for people with certain medical conditions who have a higher risk of oral health issues. (see chart below)

  • Diabetes
  • Organ Transplants
  • Maternity
  • Chronic Kidney Disease
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Parkinson's disease 
  • Sjogren's Syndrome
  • Radiation for head or neck cancers 
  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) 
  • Opioid misuse and addiction 
  • Huntington's Disease
  • Lupus
