Centers of Excellence services through Carrum Health are available for Partners for Health members aged 18 and older who are enrolled in one of our medical plans.
Carrum Health makes it simpler and more affordable for you to access top surgical and cancer care from some of the nation's leading surgeons and specialists.
With Carrum Health, you'll have access to many non-emergency surgical and medical services including:
- Weight-loss (bariatric) surgeries
- Joint and spine surgeries
- Heart surgery
- Comprehensive cancer care
Important! In 2027, weight-loss surgery will only be covered through the Carrum Health centers of excellence program. Weight-loss surgery performed by any other provider will not be covered.

Most, if not all, costs associated with Carrum Health services will be covered by your medical plan. Preferred Provider Organization members will have no cost share, and Consumer-driven Health Plan members pay nothing after meeting their federal minimum deductible. Travel expenses may also be covered. Plus, Carrum Health offers second opinion services at no charge, with no deductible required.
