Overview:

This course addresses materials and methods of firestopping in new construction. Students are trained in fire that contributes directly to the passage of flame and products of combustion throughout concealed spaces in floors, walls, and ceilings. Students are also introduced to tools, techniques, materials, and products involved in stopping the passage of fire in building construction.
