Overview: This course provides an overview of emergency and standby generator systems using NFPA 110 and the 2023 National Electrical Code. examine generator requirements, emergency power classifications, transfer equipment, grounding and bonding, generator capacity, fuel systems, ventilation, exhaust, testing, maintenance, and common field violations. Emphasis is placed on practical inspection and understanding how the generator, transfer switch, controls, fuel supply, and distribution system work together as a complete emergency power system.
