- Eat Your Veggies Word Scramble: This quick activity challenges participants to test their knowledge of vegetables.
- Fats & Oils Quiz: Participants test their nutrition knowledge about fats and oils through a 14-question quiz.
- Food Label Activity: Participants get to know the foods they're eating a bit better in this activity. Earn points for nutritious choices!
- Grocery Store Scavenger Hunt: Participants find listed food items by visiting a grocery store or local farmers market.
- Heart Healthy Food Trivia: Participants can test their knowledge of heart-healthy foods with this trivia.
- Holiday Food Word Search: Participants search for traditional holiday foods in this seasonal word search activity.
- How to Host a Healthier Potluck: This checklist helps employees plan a fun and healthier potluck.
- Nutrition Jeopardy: This virtual game tests nutrition knowledge in a fun, interactive format. It works well as an icebreaker or team-building activity.
- Portion Distortion Quiz: This quiz helps participants learn how portion sizes have changed over time and tests portion awareness.
- Taste Test: Encourage employees to engage in healthier eating habits in the workplace by introducing them to new foods with this challenge.
- Better Bites BINGO: Participants complete a horizontal, vertical or diagonal row of healthy eating activities on the BINGO card.
- Green Plate Challenge: This one-week challenge encourages eating more green fruits and vegetables to support overall health.
- Small Steps to Healthier Eating: During this one-week challenge, participants take small steps to help align their overall eating habits with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
- Pack Your Lunch Challenge: This two-week challenge encourages packing healthier lunches for work.
- Personalize My Plate Challenge: Participants take a personalized approach to the nutrition their bodies need in this two-week challenge.
- 5-A-Day Challenge: This four-week challenge focuses on increasing fruits and vegetables as part of a healthy diet.
- 48-A-Day Water Challenge: This challenge encourages drinking at least 48 ounces of water each day.
- Better Beverage Challenge: This four-week challenge supports healthier hydration by helping participants gradually cut back on high-calorie drinks and add better beverage choices.
- Bite-Sized Changes Challenge: In this challenge, participants will be making small (bite-sized) changes to improve their overall eating habits.
- Create a Healthier Plate: This four-week challenge encourages participants to make most of their meals well-balanced. Participants will fill in a food journal throughout the challenge.
- Exotic Fruit Challenge: This two-week challenge allows participants to work on their two-a-day fruit habit by completing as many squares as they can on the tracking sheet.
- Fall Fruit and Veggie BINGO: In honor of National Fruits and Veggies Month, participants will fill in a square for every fruit and veggie they enjoy. Complete a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally in four weeks.
- Flavor of the Week Challenge: This challenge encourages trying new foods and recipes to expand taste preferences and increase nutrient variety.
- Go for the Gold: Participants earn gold medals for making healthier choices when eating.
- Go Lean with Protein Challenge: This four-week challenge encourages participants to practice healthier habits by making healthier protein choices most of the time.
- Healthy Eating Challenge Starter Kit: Want to host a healthy eating challenge, but not seeing one that's perfect for you? Use this starter kit to develop your own challenge with the help of your Working for a Healthier Tennessee wellness coordinator.
- Meatless Monday Challenge: This challenge can be celebrated any time and focuses on overall healthy eating habits while decreasing meat intake. Participants track progress using a provided worksheet.
- Pack/Plan-A-Snack Challenge: During this one-week challenge, participants plan and pack healthier snacks while tracking snack choices and emotions.
- Serving Savvy Challenge: This four-week challenge helps participants better understand serving sizes to support personal health goals.
