You have access to several wellness programs designed to support your health and well-being. These programs offer tools, resources and support to help you feel your best at work and beyond.
Working for a Healthier Tennessee
Working for a Healthier Tennessee is the workplace wellness initiative that helps Tennessee State Government employees build healthy habits.
The program provides tools and support to state agencies so employees can focus on improving their health over time.
Each agency has a wellness council. A wellness council is a group of employees who plan and share wellness events and information, such as challenges, educational handouts, healthy recipes, success stories, team-building activities, webinars and workouts. These focus on:
- Well-being
- Physical activity
- Healthy eating
- Tobacco cessation
Who can participate?
Working for a Healthier Tennessee is available to all Tennessee State Government employees, even those not enrolled in Partners for Health medical insurance.
Here4TN Emotional Wellbeing Solutions
Here4TN, administered by Optum, offers free and confidential support to help Tennessee State Government employees and their families get the most out of life and manage life's challenges. Here4TN can help with:
- Managing stress
- Improving relationships at home or work
- Addressing legal and financial concerns
- Getting the most out of your career
- Finding child development, childcare or eldercare resources
- Getting help for grief or other emotional concerns
- Addressing depression, anxiety or substance use issues
Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and all services are confidential.
Who can participate?
Here4TN is available to all benefits-eligible employees and their eligible family members, even those not enrolled in Partners for Health medical insurance.

Partners for Health Wellness Program
The Partners for Health Wellness Program, provided by Sharecare, offers health and wellness support for employees enrolled in Partners for Health medical insurance.
The program includes:
- A health assessment and onsite biometric screenings
- One-on-one coaching by phone
- Group and online coaching options
- Support for chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes and COPD and other conditions
- Help with quitting tobacco and managing weight
- Cash incentives for completing certain activities

This program is available to employees enrolled in Partners for Health medical insurance.
