Ginger Turmeric Tea

Ingredients:
- 2 cups water
- ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
- ½ teaspoon ground or fresh ginger
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon pepper (optional)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1 lemon wedge or squeeze of lemon (optional)
- Splash of milk or milk substitute (optional)
Directions:
- Gather all the ingredients.
- Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan; add turmeric, ginger and cinnamon.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes.
- If using fresh ingredients, strain tea into a large glass.
- Stir in sweetener of your choice.
Notes:
Some people enjoy using fresh grated ginger or turmeric. You may need to strain the tea if you use fresh ingredients and experiment with the right amount for your taste buds. You can also add a slice or squeeze of fresh lemon, sweetener and a splash of milk or milk substitute.
