Liquor-by-the-Drink Licenses
Liquor-by-the-Drink (LBD) licenses or On-Premises Consumption licenses may be issued to restaurants, hotels, private clubs, and other establishments that are eligible under Tennessee law. An LBD or On-Premises Consumption license allows an establishment to sell and dispense alcoholic beverages such as spirits, wine, high gravity beer, and spirits or wine-based ready to drink cocktails. Wine-only licenses are available for eligible restaurants.
TABC LBD licenses do not authorize the sale of beer. To apply for a beer permit, establishments should contact their local beer board.
