Active at All Ability Levels
Everyone can be active.
For people with disabilities, physical activity can support daily tasks, independence and overall health. The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans recommend that all adults, with or without disabilities, aim for 150 minutes of aerobic activity each week. Activity can be broken into smaller sessions.
Muscle-strengthening activities, such as adapted yoga or resistance band exercises, provide important health benefits. You can learn more about the national guidelines, explore tools and resources and start building a plan that works for you. Talk with your doctor before starting a new exercise program.
