Captain Patrick Turner

Captain Patrick Turner is a 2013 graduate of Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command.  He completed his Associate of Applied Science with an emphasis on Criminal Justice from Walters State Community College.  After graduating from the THP Training Academy in 1998, he was assigned to Moore County as a road trooper.  In 2011, he was promoted to Sergeant and transferred to Coffee County.  In 2017, he was promoted to lieutenant over Troop D, which consisted of Coffee, Franklin, and Grundy Counties.  In 2020, Captain Turner was selected for and transferred into the Chattanooga District’s Administrative Lieutenant position.  In 2022, Captain Turner was promoted to District Captain over the Chattanooga District. In 2026 Captain Turner took over the Lawrenceburg District operations.  Captain Turner has taught or been an assistant instructor in several capacities, including defensive tactics, firearms, Gracie Survival Tactics, Emerging Leaders Course, and New Supervisor Orientation Training.
