Women in Law Enforcement Conference
The Tennessee Highway Patrol proudly welcomes you to the 2027 Women in Law Enforcement Conference!
The conference will be held at the Sheraton Music City Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. WLEC 2027 begins at 10:00 a.m. CDT on Monday, April 26, 2027, and concludes at noon CDT on Wednesday, April 28, 2027.
About The Conference
The Tennessee Highway Patrol's Women in Law Enforcement Conference brings together more than 500 law enforcement professionals from local, state, and federal agencies across the United States and Canada. Centered on the 2027 theme, "Looking Beyond the Badge," the conference offers three days of professional development, leadership training, networking, and personal growth.
This POST-approved conference features nationally recognized speakers and educational sessions focused on leadership, career development, officer wellness, and emerging issues facing today's law enforcement profession. Attendees will gain practical strategies, discover innovative approaches to common challenges, and build lasting professional connections with peers from a wide range of agencies and disciplines.
Whether you are just beginning your career or serving in a leadership role, WLEC 2027 is designed to inspire, equip, and empower you with the knowledge, resources, and relationships to continue making a difference within your agency and your community.

Lodging
The Sheraton Music City Hotel is located at 777 McGavock Pike, Nashville, TN 37214. Hotel check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. CDT, and check-out is 11:00 a.m. CDT. The Sheraton provides complimentary shuttle service to and from Nashville International Airport (BNA). Guests may arrange shuttle transportation directly with the hotel after reserving their room. A block of rooms has been reserved at the conference rate of $209 per night. The room block closes on April 4, 2027, or sooner if sold out. Rooms are limited, so reserve yours early using the Room Block Link.
Parking
On-site parking is available for $10 per day.
Conference Registration
Registration is $500 per attendee, plus applicable fees, and closes on April 2, 2027. WLEC 2027 is open to anyone—male or female, sworn or civilian—although many sessions are designed specifically for women serving in commissioned law enforcement positions.
Don't delay—space is limited. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with additional conference information.
Breakout Session Registration
Prior to the conference, attendees will receive a survey to select their preferred breakout sessions. Seating is limited for each session, so be sure to submit your selections promptly to maximize your chances of attending your preferred breakouts.
On-Site Check-In
The registration desk will be located outside the Hermitage Ballroom and will be staffed throughout the conference to assist attendees with any questions or needs. Registration hours are:
- Sunday, April 25: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Monday, April 26: 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Dress Code
Business casual attire is recommended. Polo shirts with khakis or utility pants are also acceptable. A conference group photo will be taken on Monday at 12:00 p.m. Participants are encouraged to wear their seasonal Class A uniform for the photo, if possible.
Meals
The following meals are included with your conference registration:
- Monday: Lunch
- Tuesday: Breakfast and lunch
- Wednesday: Breakfast
