State Route 62
Morgan County
The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) plans to construct spot improvements along State Route 62 in Morgan County. The proposed project includes adding turn lanes at the intersections of Fairview Road, Petit Lane, and State Route 116. The project is intended to improve safety and traffic operations along the corridor.
Current Status: July 8, 2025
TDOT maintenance crews constructed the proposed improvements at two locations (SR 62 and Petit Lane, SR 62 and SR 116). Crews widened and built up roadways with 3,198 tons of stone, and used 2,607 tons of asphalt in the construction of turn lanes at Petit Lane and SR 116.
The project improvements at SR 62 and Fairview Road are in the preliminary design stages.
Estimated construction start: Improvements were completed at SR 62 and Petit Lane and SR 62 and SR116 at a cost of $921,409. Project improvements at SR 62 and Fairview Road are scheduled in TDOT’s 10-Year Project Plan to begin construction in 2027.
