US 411 (State Route 33) Intersection at Niles Ferry Road

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) plans to construct improvements to the intersection of US 411 (State Route 33) and Niles Ferry Road. The proposed improvements include installing a traffic signal, widening Niles Ferry Road to include a separate right turn lane, and construction of a sidewalk along Niles Ferry Road to Vonore Elementary School. The project is intended to improve safety and traffic operations near the school.

Current Status: This project is under development.

Estimated construction start: This project is scheduled in TDOT’s 10-Year Project Plan to begin construction in Fiscal Year 2026.

Estimated completion*: TBD

Funding Type: TDOT anticipates that a portion of this project will be funded through the Transportation Modernization Fund.
