Re-Entry Unit

491245100

The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) Child Support Re-Entry Unit provides services to justice-involved parents across Tennessee. Specifically, this unit meets with parents inside and outside correctional facilities (including local jails). They assist with the modification of child support orders, provide current case information, and connect parents with resources throughout their re-entry journey.

Justice-involved parents have the right to request a review for possible adjustment of the child support order at any time. If a parent is incarcerated (or will be incarcerated) for 180 days or greater, the Child Support Re-Entry Unit can initiate a review.

The Child Support Re-Entry Unit maintains state and local partnerships to empower parents as they transition back into their communities.
