The Department of Human Services' Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) participates in numerous councils, advisory boards and committees to build better partnerships in the community and improve the services it provides.  

*Community Tennessee Rehabilitation Centers Advisory Board
The local Tennessee Rehabilitation Centers Advisory Board is made up of business and community leaders from across the state.  The advisory board works to enhance the operation of the agency's network of centers by providing input and advise on program matters.

Thursday, August 13, 2020, 9:00am-2:00pm: This meeting will be via Zoom. 

The purpose of this meeting will be to review the Division of Rehabilitation Services’ responsibilities under Title I, relating to the extent, eligibility and effectiveness of services in accordance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014.

Reasonable modifications and/or auxiliary aids/services are available upon request for members of the public who wish to attend the meeting.  Contact Ryan Jolley by email at or phone at (615) 253-4733 to request the specific auxiliary aid/service you require in order to participate in the meeting of the State Rehabilitation Council.

The purpose of the meeting will be to review the Division of Rehabilitation Services, Centers for Independent Living and Statewide Independent Living Council’s responsibility under Title VII, relating to promoting a philosophy of independent living in order to maximize the leadership, empowerment, independence, and productivity of individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014. The SILC is required to hold regularly scheduled meetings that are open to the public.

The TCDDBHH exists to serve as an advocate for culturally appropriate services affecting Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard of Hearing persons through coordination, public awareness, and consultation in areas of public service, health care, and education and employment.
