We are now the Division of Land Protection


The Division of Remediation and the Division of Solid Waste Management have merged to form the Division of Land Protection (DLP). This change reflects TDEC’s lifecycle approach to environmental protection—preventing contamination releases where possible, promoting waste minimization and material reuse, and restoring properties when contamination occurs.

As we make this transition, you may still see references to the “Division of Remediation” or the “Division of Land Protection - Remediation Branch.” Our website will also be updated in the coming months. Although our name is changing, our commitment to protecting human health and the environment remains the same.
