Child Support Client Feedback
(Federal Regulation 45 CFR 303.35 Administrative Complaint Procedure)
Do you feel you need to file a complaint with us regarding child support services you have received?
The Department of Human Services (DHS) administers the Child Support Program. The services are provided through local district attorneys, DHS staff and private agencies under contract with the state. Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service to those seeking these services as we work together to promote parental responsibility to meet the financial needs of children and their families.
If you have a child support case with Tennessee's Child Support Program, and you believe that you have not been provided with the level or quality of service to which you are entitled under the rules and regulations of the Tennessee Department of Human Services or the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement, you may wish to file a complaint electronically or by mail, see below.
NOTE: If you are simply checking the status of your case or have a general question about your case, you do not need to file a formal complaint. Instead, you may submit an Inquiry Form or call us at 1-833-772-8347 (TDHS) for assistance. Formal complaints are intended for situations in which the program failed to take appropriate action despite evidence that an error occurred or that action should have been taken on your case.
Filing this complaint does not replace any administrative hearing or appeal rights you may be entitled to.
