Traffic Impacts
Weekly traffic impacts will be posted on the Middle Tennessee Lane Closure report posted on the TDOT Newsroom.
Starting Monday, October 6, and lasting through Sunday, October 12, crews with Eubanks will close a section of Cumberland Drive near Fairview Boulevard (SR 100). This closure is necessary to install storm drains and box culverts. While this closure is in place, motorists will be routed from Fairview Boulevard to Dogwood Drive in order to access other sections of Cumberland Drive. See more details here.
As work on this project continues, two phases of traffic control will take place, with each phase shifting traffic on one side of SR 100 to allow for sidewalk construction. Scheduled construction impacts will consist of intermittent lane closures on SR 100 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., with no night work permitted. No scheduled full closures of Cumberland Drive will occur when school is in session.

History and Background
State Route 100 throughout the City of Fairview has a blend of sidewalk and non-sidewalk sections between the Fairview Community Center and Bowie Lake Drive. Additionally, Fairview High School, Middle School and Elementary School are all within the proximity of Cumberland Drive. TDOT, in coordination with the City of Fairview, have bundled two projects for construction, the sidewalk construction between the Community Center and Bowie Lake Road, and the signalization of State Route 100 at Cumberland Drive.
