State Route 141 (Hartsville Pike)

Wilson County
SR-141-103203.01-12-12-23

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is currently widening State Route 141 from Lovers Lane to US 70 in Wilson County. The project consists of widening the current two-lane road to a five-lane facility on the current alignment for 0.87 miles to Oak Dale Drive and 0.91 miles on new alignment, intersecting with US 70.

This section of widening on SR 141 will be essential towards the efforts of connecting Trousdale County and surrounding counties to Wilson County. Providing additional lanes will improve driver safety while increasing road capacity and reducing delays. The new intersection at US 70 will provide an improved alternative to the existing intersection, which experiences congestion within a compact roadway with minimal vehicle storage.

Current Status: Clearing and grubbing within the construction easement is underway. New road construction on the realignment section and utility work is scheduled to start in early 2024.

Estimated construction start: Construction operations have begun for the project.

Estimated completion*: June 2026

Funding Type: Federal, state, and locally funded by the City of Lebanon.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic Impacts

Phase 1 of traffic control will include multiple aspects. A lane shift will be installed on US 70 that will reduce the current lanes of traffic down to 11-foot wide lanes. Old Rome Pike will experience a new alignment resulting in a detour and road closure for through traffic. The east side of the SR 141 widening that follows the current alignment will be included in this phase. Private driveways will always remain accessible.
