School Board Training Advisory Committee

In accordance with State Board rule 0520-01-02-.11, the School Board Training Advisory Committee is responsible for evaluating and recommending training courses for local school board members to the State Board for approval. State Board rule outlines the specific training course requirements for new and experienced board members and the timeline for approving new training courses annually. State Board policy 2.100 includes the list of approved training courses for local school board members to complete their annual training requirement.

Prospective training course providers shall submit an application to the Advisory Committee by February 15 prior to the fiscal year in which the training course will be offered. Training courses which meet the requirements shall be submitted to the State Board for approval by May 1.
