Governing Body Training Courses

As outlined in State Board Rule 0520-14-01-.07, charter school governing body members must complete their annual training requirements by June 30 each year. State Board Rule outlines the specific requirements for new and experienced charter school governing body members and State Board Policy 6.112 includes the list of approved training courses for charter school governing body members to complete their annual training requirement.

Prospective training course providers shall submit an application for approval to the State Board by February 15 each year for courses that will be offered beginning July 1 of that same year. Training courses which meet the requirements set forth in State Board Rule and recommended by the State Board's Advisory Committee shall be submitted to the State Board for approval by May 1.
