CCDF State Plan 2025-2027
The Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) provides funding to State Lead Agencies to offer services to families with low-income through subsidized child care, to implement activities and services to improve the quality and availability of child care, and to oversee the regulation of child care agencies throughout the state. Services are provided either directly by the state or through contracts with local governments and non-profit agencies.
The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS), as CCDF Lead Agency, has begun the process of developing the next CCDF State Plan for the 2025-2027 Plan Cycle. The State Plan is due to the Administration for Children and Families, Office of Child Care by June 30, 2024. The development process includes collecting input from partners/stakeholders as we work toward goals of improving quality, increasing access and affordability, and strengthening our early child and education ecosystem.
Tennessee CCDF State Plan 2025-2027 Child Care Provider Focus Groups
TDHS will conduct virtual focus groups via a WebEx platform, to engage with various partner groups and to discuss the 2025-2027 CCDF State Plan structure. Focus groups are an opportunity to engage stakeholders to determine the needs of the Child Care community and to increase partnerships needed to improve services statewide. The focus groups will be facilitated by the Director of Child Care Services.
Input collected as a result of these meetings will help inform the development of the 2025-2027 CCDF State Plan.
Below are the dates and times for three (3) available sessions. The content for each session is the same, so you may select the session that meets your availability and register. Once you have registered for the session of your choice, an email with the appointment/WebEx will be sent to you.

How to Submit Comments
TDHS has developed a method for you to submit comments, thoughts, and suggestions following the focus groups that will help us to capture feedback in a centralized location to ensure all voices are heard.
