The Safety and Work Zones section in the TDOT Traffic Design Division helps the State Traffic Engineer support TDOT staff, local governments, and elected officials. They focus on safety and everyday traffic issues on Tennessee’s state highways and interstates. 

This team works closely with Region Traffic Engineers to review traffic studies, give clear policy guidance, and help solve problems that are unique to each region.
