Final reading of an item that sets the state minimum salary schedule for licensed personnel.

B. Local Education Agency (LEA) Alternative Salary Schedule
Final reading of an item to reapprove Chester County, Gibson Special School District, Haywood County, Kingsport City, Lexington City, Lincoln County, Putnam County, Rhea County, Sequatchie County, Trousdale County, and Wilson County’s performance-based alternative salary schedules that utilize level of overall effectiveness or observation score to determine base pay increases. Fentress County, Hawkins County, Millington Municipal, and Union County are requesting re-approval for alternative salary schedules that provide specific criteria or preapproval for compensation for advanced degrees.
C. SBE Charter School Local Education Agency (LEA) Promotion & Retention, Grading, and Assessment Policy 4603
Final reading of an item to revise LEA policy 4603 governing Board-authorized charter schools to adjust the weight that 2017-18 EOC exams will have on final student grades. Also makes additional changes to comply with a newly passed state law.
