Laurel Cox

Laurel Cox serves as the student representative of the Tennessee State Board of Education, representing all high school students across the state. She is a senior at Cascade High School. In addition, she has received college credits through Motlow State Community College, Middle Tennessee State University, and the University of Tennessee Martin.

As part of her educational career, she is actively involved in the National FFA Organization. She formerly served as the 2022-2023 Middle Tennessee FFA Regional President as a junior, working closely with Tennessee leaders in agriculture. She has held various leadership positions within Cascade FFA, actively working to encourage all students to pursue education in agriculture. In June of 2023, she spent a month at the Tennessee Governor’s School for Agricultural Sciences, studying agribusiness and veterinary science under industry professionals. She has worked with students of all ages through her promotion of Tennessee's agricultural industry.

Laurel lives in Bell Buckle, and she is actively involved in the Cascade High School and Bedford County community, holding a variety of positions throughout many educational groups and organizations. She is also a member of the World Outreach Church in Rutherford County.
