Region 1 Dove Fields
Crop status and leased fields as of August 12, 2024. Leased fields will be posted by county and listed below the WMA fields the last week of August. Please check this page often for changes and additions
· Remember shotgun plugs and Migratory Bird Permit
· Hunter Education is required for those born on or after January 1, 1969
· WMA Small Game Permit is required on all WMA fields except at Walnut Log, and Chambers Creek
· Unless otherwise listed, dove hunting is open with statewide seasons and bag limits
Private lease fields will be listed after the WMAs and are only open on the listed hunt dates. Please do not visit fields until the day of the hunt.
Capacity may be limited on some fields depending on hunter turnout.
Region 1 Wildlife Management Areas
Crops planted: 77 acres total: Sunflowers bush hogged
Hunt dates: Youth Hunt September 1, 2024. Starts at Noon; lunch will be provided by the local NWTF Chapter. All Youth Hunters must register at the tent then report to the shed for lunch.
Regular dove season opens September 2, 2024 through the remainder of the 1st and 2nd segments of the statewide season.
Directions: Travel north on Highway 78 towards Tiptonville for 7.0 miles. In Bogota, turn left onto Hwy 103 heading west for 1.2 miles. Turn left onto Barbwire Rd and proceed for 2.0 miles. Field is located on the right.

Hunt dates: Open September 1 (12:00 noon)
Directions: From Decaturville head east on Highway 100 toward Perryville. Turn right on Mt. Carmel road. Follow Mt. Carmel road until you cross White's Creek then take the first left. Follow the signs to Cypress Pond Refuge.

Bomprezzi Unit
Crops planted: 23 acres total: 13 sunflowers bush hogged; 10 acres fallow bush hogged
Hunt dates: Sept 1 (noon) Access is only allowed off Billion Road. The Field is located about 2.0 miles from parking lot. ATV's are allowed and recommended for the first 2 days of the season. Walk in only after Sept. 2

Fullen North Tract

Hunt dates: Open Sept. 1 (12:00 noon) Opening Day is for youth only accompanied by a non-hunting adult. Open with statewide season after Sept. .
Directions: Take HWY 51 North out of Covington. Take a left on HWY 87. Turn right on Sunk Lake Road. Turn left on Jim Fullen Road. Field will be about 2 miles on your right.

Yankee Bar
Crops planted: 50 acres wheat disced
Hunt dates: Open Sept. 1 (12:00 noon) and remainder of statewide season. ATV's can be used for the first 2 days of the season. Walk in only for remainder of seasons
Directions: Take HWY 51 North out of Covington. Take a left on HWY 87. Turn right on Crutcher Lake Road. Continue past Cold Creek and 4 mile loop. Field will be on left before sharp curve.

Directions: From Dyersburg travel west on 155. Take Exit 2 and turn left onto Highway 181 heading south for 12.0 miles. Turn left onto Moss Island Road and proceed 1.2 miles. The field is on the right.

Directions: From Sharon, travel west on TN 89 for 6.5 miles. Turn left onto Beech Ridge Rd. Road dead ends-at WMA. Dove field will be on the left immediately after crossing the first ditch.

Directions: From Trenton, take HWY 186 towards Gibson Tennessee. The WMA will be on the left side of the road where the TVA powerlines cross the HWY (approximately 3.5 miles from Trenton).

Directions: From Dyersburg travel west on 155 towards Caruthersville Missouri. Take Exit 2 and turn right onto Hwy 181. Then make a right on Boothspoint Road. Travel to end of road and field is located on left.

Directions: From Union City, travel south on US45W for 10.5 miles. WMA parking will be on West (right) side of highway, immediatedley before the Obion RIver at the 3 grain bins.

Directions: From Hwy 69 in Morris Chapel turn east on Chalk Rd. From Chalk Rd turn onto McCullough Rd. Follow McCullough Rd to the WMA then follow the Dove Field signs to the field.

Directions: From Milledgeville take hwy 69 east for 2.8 miles. Turn south on Gospel Lane. Follow Gospel Lane to the gate to the dove field.
