Proposed 2024-2025 Hunting and Trapping Seasons

The TWRA Wildlife and Forestry Division presented recommendations for the 2024-2025 Hunting and Trapping seasons and regulations during the March Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission meeting. The proposals include seasons, bag limits, and other regulations for big game, small game, furbearers, raptors, and migratory birds. The Commission will vote on the proposals at the April Commission meeting.

Public input is vital to the process. All hunters, trappers, conservationists, and other stakeholders are encouraged to participate, learn more, and provide feedback.  The public comment period on the proposals is open from March 22 to April 10, 2024.

Field Lease / WMA Farm Contract Opportunities

Revenue Leases on Agricultural parcels


Laurel Hill WMA, Lawrence County

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency announces the intention to award a Revenue lease on a hay parcel in northwest Lawrence County TN, in Laurel Hill Wildlife Management Area. This lease will be for 3 years.  The hay lease consists of approximately 34 acres.  The tract is less than 1 mile from the west end of Turnpike/HWY 240, Lawrenceburg TN., on Laurel Hill Wildlife Management Area. 

Bids will be accepted from March 28, 2024, till April 26, 2024.  Submitted bids will be opened at 10 a.m. on  April 29, 2024, at Laurel Hill WMA Headquarters, 291 Napier Rd., Lawrenceburg, TN 38464.
