CROSSVILLE, Tenn.---Boat ramps at the 411 Bridge and Patty Bridge on the Hiwassee River will remain open with limited parking during an improvement project taking place at each location. Construction will start on Monday, Aug.31.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is temporarily closing the access road leading into the Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area (WMA) and the Will Skelton Greenway beginning at sunset on Sunday, Aug. 16. This closure is necessary to repair several potholes and reinforce the roadway, which has experienced heavy year round use.
NEWPORT, Tenn. — Rankin Access Area on the French Broad River is temporarily closed while crews repair the parking lot. Repairs are expected to continue through Aug. 7, weather permitting.

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) has reopened the public access area on the Elk River where the former Harms Mill Dam once stood.
Renovations of the boat ramp and dock at the Winchester City Park on Tims Ford Lake are nearing completion. Currently, the new sixty-foot-wide ramp is open for use. Placement of courtesy docks and bank armoring began the week of April 6 and is slated to be completed by May 1, 2026.
