Directions:   From I-40, take exit 322 for Peavine Rd. Turn North onto TN-101N/Peavine Rd. In 2 miles, turn left onto Peavine Firetower Rd. Drive 3.9 miles, then stay straight to continue onto Otter Creek Rd. The field will be on the left in 5.6 miles.

Hunt dates:  Dove hunting access on September 1, 2026, will be restricted to participants selected through a hand-held drawing.  September 2, 2026, and continuing through the remainder of the statewide season, dove hunting will follow standard statewide seasons.

The opening day hunt on September 1, 2026, will be determined by a hand-held drawing. This drawing will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Independence Community Center. Sign-ups for the drawing will begin at 4:00 p.m. local time, and the actual drawing will occur at 5:00 p.m. local time. Please note that hunters must be physically present at the drawing to be eligible. From September 2, 2026, through the remainder of the statewide season, all hunting will follow standard statewide seasons.

Directions:  Drive north on Hwy 111 from Livingston for about 11 miles. Turn left onto Hwy 294 and continue for 5.1 miles to Independence Road (look for the old community center). Turn left on Independence Rd, drive 0.4 miles, and turn right into the WMA entrance road.

Directions:  From Kingston, Tennessee, travel west on Roane State Highway until you reach Bowman Bend Road.  Travel on Bowman Bend Road until you reach the WMA Dove Field.

Directions:   From Smithville, head south on Short Mountain Road for 10.1 miles, take a sharp right onto Pea Ridge Road, travel for 5 miles. From Pea Ridge Road, you will turn right onto Herman Road and travel about 2/10 of a mile to the field on your right.

Directions:  From Sparta, drive South on McMinnville Hwy. 4.4 miles. Turn right onto Franks Ferry Rd. for 1 mile. Turn left on Disneyland Rd. 0.7 miles. Turn right onto Eaton Rd. for 0.5 miles. Field is on the right.
