- Hunter Education is required for those born on or after January 1, 1969
- Unless otherwise listed, dove hunting is open with statewide seasons and bag limits
Capacity may be limited on some fields depending on hunter turnout.
Region 3 Wildlife Management Areas
Crops planted: 19 acres total: 13 acres sunflowers bush hogged; 6 acres wheat top sown
Hunt dates: Sept 1 (at noon). Same as the statewide season.
Directions: From Sparta, take TN-1115 S~6 mi. Turn left on Old Union Rd. Go ~2.5 mi., then turn right on Hickory Valley Rd. Continue ~2.5 mi to White Cave Rd. Turn left and follow to N 35.8199946, W -85.377442

Hunt dates: Sept 1(at noon). Opens at 12 p.m. on opening day.
Directions: From I-40, take exit 320. Turn North on to Genesis Rd (TN-298). Drive 5.3 miles and turn right on to Fox Creek Trl. Field is immediately on the left inside the gate.

Directions: From Gainesboro take Hwy 56 toward Whitleyville. Travel 5.3 miles and turn left on Hwy 85. Travel 0.3 miles and turn left on Draper Hollow Ln. Travel 0.4 miles to the field.

Hunt dates: September 1st & 18th. Youth hunt September 13th. All hunts are noon until sunset and non toxic shot only.

Hunt dates: Sept. 1 is by hand held draw. September 2 thru remainder of season is the same as statewide season. The hand held drawing for opening day hunt (Sept. 1) will be held at Independence Community Center on Independence Rd just North of the WMA on August 23, 2025. Registration will begin at 4:00 pm and the drawing will begin at 5:00 pm. You must be present to be drawn.
Directions: From Livingston, Take Hwy 111 North toward Byrdstown. Travel 3.6 miles to Willow Grove Hwy (TN-294). Travel 5.2 miles and turn left on Independence Rd. Travel 0.4 miles to the WMA entrance.

Hunt dates: Same as statewide seasons. Noon to sunset only on Sept. 1.
Directions: From Smithville, head south on Short Mountain Road for 10.1 miles, take a sharp right onto Pea Ridge Road. Drive 5 miles and turn riight onto Herman Road. Travel about 500 yards before reaching the dove field on your right.

Hunt dates: Sept 1(at noon). Opens with statewide season. Closed during scheduled big game hunts. Pick up your empty hulls and trash when you leave.
Directions: Located along Game Reserve Rd. (main gravel road), go past the main entrance and big game check station approximately half a mile. Signs will be at the field.
