Tennessee Forestry Commission to Meet

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Forestry Commission will meet July 12 and 13 at 9 a.m. CDT at Ellington Agricultural Center in Nashville, Tenn. The meeting will take place in the conference room of the Bruer Building located at 406 Hogan Road.

The purpose of this Commission meeting is to interview and consider candidates for the position of State Forester, who also serves as the Assistant Commissioner for Forestry for the Tennessee Department of Agriculture.

The Commission will conclude deliberations with a meeting at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 13.

The meeting is open to the public.

The Tennessee Forestry Commission comprises seven members representing the public’s interests as they relate to forest resources in the state.
