Tennessee Forestry Commission to Meet

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Forestry Commission will meet March 2 at the Ellington Agricultural Center in Nashville, Tenn.

The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. – 1p.m. CST in the conference room of the Bruer building located at 406 Hogan Road.

The agenda includes confirmation hearings and a review of membership terms, the 2016 Annual Report, fall fire season review, seedling sales and nursery operations, state forest timber sales preview, dates and logistics for 2017 scheduled meetings and possible revision of the Green Belt Law.

The meeting is open to the public.

The Tennessee Forestry Commission comprises seven members representing the public’s interests as they relate to forest resources in the state. The commission advises the Tennessee Department of Agriculture on forest issues. For more information, contact TDA’s Division of Forestry at 615-837-5520.
