2020-2025 Review and National Priorities Report

About the Report

From 2020 through 2025, Tennessee made measurable progress under all four objectives of its State Forest Action Plan. That work spanned forest pest detection and treatment, steady hardwood timber production, new land conservation programs and broader community engagement in wildfire preparedness.

This report is a collaboration between the Tennessee Department of Agriculture Division of Forestry and The Nature Conservancy. It pairs a five-year look back with the three national priorities set by Congress: conserving working forest landscapes, protecting forests from threats and enhancing public benefits from trees and forests.

The review confirms that the plan remains relevant and effective, and that no midcycle amendments are needed as Tennessee enters the second half of the planning period.
