Current Surveys

The Tennessee Department of Agriculture is conducting a survey of sawmills, landscape mulch and compost manufacturers to identify potential vendors of high carbon materials such as sawdust, bark, chips and mulch that could be used to compost livestock carcasses, if a livestock disease or natural disaster occur. Respondents are asked to indicate if they would be interested in selling material, and if so, what quantities could be available for sale. The survey is voluntary, and will aid in Department planning efforts.
