Effective January 2, 2022, the Tennessee workers’ comp mileage reimbursement rate increased from $0.47 per mile to $0.585 per mile.

The Medical Payment Committee will meet Tuesday, February 7th, 1:00 PM (CST). The meeting is open to the public. The meeting will be held in the Tennessee Room, 220 French Landing Drive, 1st Floor, Side A, Nashville, and will be available via Microsoft Teams.

We require certification in the AMA Guides for appointments to the (MIR) Registry or the Certified Physician Program (CPP) Registry. Certification may be from either the Bureau or an approved vendor.

The Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) will meet on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 1-3 PM. This meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Tennessee Room, located on 1A, 220 French Landing Drive, Nashville, TN and will be available virtually via Microsoft Teams. Dial-in number is also available.

The committee hears disputes on medical bill payments between providers and insurers and advises the administrator on issues relating to the medical fee schedule and medical care cost containment in the workers’ compensation system.

A special meeting has been scheduled for October 5th to discuss the AMA Guides® 6th, Edition 2021. This meeting will online via Microsoft Teams or accessible in-person in the Tennessee Room.

A public hearing scheduled for Wed. July 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM (Central). A new law transfers the administration and day-to-day operation of the construction service provider registration (Exemption Registry) from the Secretary of State to the Bureau of Workers' Compensation. The Bureau will assume responsibility for the exemption registry on January 1, 2022. These rules will establish the framework for the operation of the exemption registry by the Bureau.
