    March 21, 2018

    The Board of Boiler Rules will meet on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at 9:00 A.M. (CST). The meeting will be held at the office of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development located at 220 French Landing Drive, Nashville, Tennessee 37243. The TOSHA Hearing Room on the 1st Floor will be utilized.

  • Physicians’ and Attorneys’ Education Conference

    March 24, 2018

    The Tennessee Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the International Workers’ Compensation Foundation are jointly sponsoring a special educational conference for physicians and attorneys focusing on medical topics of particular importance to physicians, attorneys, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and medical and administrative staff. The conference is directed to physicians, attorneys, medical and administrative staff and other professionals who are interested in medical determinations involving Tennessee Workers’ Compensation claims. Registration is open for the conference which will be conducted Saturday March 24, 2018 at the Sheraton Music City. A block of rooms has been reserved at the conference hotel at the rate of $162, available 3 days prior and post based on availability. Rooms will be held through February 23, 2018, unless this block becomes fully reserved prior to this date and may be reserved here.

  • Medical Advisory Committee meeting

    April 10, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm CST

    The Medical Advisory Committee is comprised of practitioners in the medical community having experience in the treatment of workers’ compensation injuries, representatives of the insurance industry, employer representatives, and employee representatives to assist the administrator in the development of the treatment guidelines and advise the administrator on issues relating to medical care in the Workers’ Compensation system.

  • Workers' Compensation Medical Payment Committee Meeting

    May 8, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm CDT

    The Medical Payment Committee is comprised of seven voting members appointed by the administrator. Three members represent the medical provider industry, three members represent the workers' compensation insurance industry, and the medical director serves as the final member of the committee. The committee shall hear disputes on medical bill payments between providers and insurers and advise the administrator on issues relating to the medical fee schedule and medical care cost containment in the workers' compensation system.

  • 21st Bureau of Workers' Compensation Education Conference

    June 6, 2018 - June 8, 2018

Dr. Marcos Iglesias, Sr. VP and Chief Medical officer for Broadspire will discuss disability prevention intervention that addresses injured workers’ psychosocial risk factors Kevin Glennon, VP, Clinical Programs for One Call Care Management will present “Managing the Needs of the Aging Injured Worker” Jessica Stollings, President of ReGenerations, will present “The Generational Advantage” From Conflict to Competitive Edge” Terry Bryson, Vice President, Motlow State Community College will discuss the impact that technology, robotics and artificial intelligence is having on the worksite and injury reduction
