About

Public Chapter 88 (2021) was recently signed into law by Gov. Lee on April 4, 2021. This new law transfers the administration and day-to-day operation of the construction service provider registration (Exemption Registry) from the Secretary of State to the Bureau of Workers' Compensation. The law went into effect for rulemaking purposes on April 4, 2021, but for all other purposes the law goes into effect on January 1, 2022, so the Bureau will assume responsibility for the exemption registry on January 1, 2022. These rules will establish the framework for the operation of the exemption registry by the Bureau.
