Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Benefit (NEMT)
Transportation services are available to TennCare members who do not have access to transportation. Rides can be scheduled for any TennCare-covered service and must be scheduled at least two business days before the appointment.
If the member requests transportation with less than two business days’ notice, the NEMT Call Center will contact the provider to confirm whether the appointment is urgent. If urgency is confirmed, the ride will be scheduled with the appropriate method of transportation.
