FF294 - Know Your Firefighting Foam
Overview
This 4-hour classroom course will discuss firefighting foam and its uses in the fire service. Discussions will include fire classifications as they pertain to foam usage, basic properties of ignitable liquids, basic foam terminology, types of firefighting foam and their intended usage, the different types of proportioning devices and their proper usage, as well as proper foam application techniques. Common foam use situations for foam use will be discussed and clarified throughout the course. This course is appropriate for all fire service personnel.
