FF279 - TN Emergency Vehicle Driving Compliance
Overview
Every year emergency services personnel die as a result of vehicle crashes responding to or returning from incidents. Second only to heart attacks this represents the leading cause of on-duty fatalities. This course explains the State of Tennessee statutes that both govern and protect emergency vehicle operators. It defines several key SOP’s and SOG’s that are essential for all organizations to develop, adopt and implement based off a study from VFIS Insurance and the National Volunteer Fire Council. The course also explains the legal climate which exists and its impact upon emergency vehicle drivers and their organizations. This course meets and exceeds the annual requirements for emergency vehicle operators as set forth by the Vanessa K. Free Emergency Services Training Act of 2005.
