The agenda includes approval of the previous meeting minutes, updates from the Forest Data and Analysis Unit, a discussion of cost-share funding and an audit review. The commission will also elect officers for the coming year. Guest speakers will provide information on international markets for Tennessee forest products and present research on county-level economic impacts.
The meeting is open to the public to attend. A portion of the meeting will be reserved for public comment, which may be submitted either orally or in writing regarding business before the commission.
The Tennessee Forestry Commission comprises seven members representing the public’s interests as they relate to forest resources in the state. The commission advises the Tennessee Department of Agriculture on forest issues.
