The agenda includes approval of the previous meeting’s minutes; a financial report and update on board vacancies; updates from the Tennessee Farm Winegrowers Alliance and the Nine Lakes of East Tennessee American Viticultural Area; discussion of a quality assurance program; review of the annual report to the governor; and an overview of the recent German trade mission. University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture professors will present on a campus vineyard and propose a viticulture conference.
The meeting is open to the public to attend. A portion of the meeting will be reserved for public comment, which may be submitted either orally or in writing regarding business before the board.
The Wine and Grape Board is comprised of seven members and their purpose is to support the growth of the wine industry in Tennessee.
