Notice of Public Hearing

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Agriculture will hold a public rulemaking hearing to gather input on restricting the use of dicamba pesticide products in commercial production of cotton and soybeans. 

The hearing will take place March 20 at 10 a.m. CDT in the Porter Building at Ellington Agricultural Center, located at 436 Hogan Road in Nashville, Tenn.

The proposed amendments will limit when dicamba can be applied to cotton or soybeans in commerce. They also require that any person who makes or causes a row crop application of dicamba shall keep records of the application. 

Written and/or oral comments will be accepted at the hearing. Written comments not submitted at the public hearing will be included in the hearing record only if received by the close of business, 4:30 p.m. CDT, on the date of the hearing. The hearing will be conducted in the manner prescribed by the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, T. C. A. § 4-5-201 et seq.
