State Soil Conservation Committee to Meet

NASHVILLE - The State Soil Conservation Committee will meet Feb. 25, beginning at 4:30 p.m. CST at the Double Tree Hotel, located at 1770 US-45 Bypass in Jackson, Tenn.

The agenda includes approval of the minutes of the previous meeting, reports from partner agencies and organizations, and general discussion. The meeting is open to the public.

The SSCC was created by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1939 for the purpose of assisting in the development of local soil conservation districts. The committee advises the Tennessee Department of Agriculture on matters pertaining to soil conservation and water quality improvement.
