Federal Lawsuit Challenging TABC Hemp Regulations Voluntarily Dismissed

The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission announces that a federal lawsuit challenging Tennessee’s hemp regulatory framework has been voluntarily dismissed by the plaintiff.

On January 6, 2026, the plaintiff filed a notice of voluntary dismissal in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, formally ending the case. A copy of the court filing is available here: Notice of Voluntary Dismissal.

The Commission will continue to carry out its statutory responsibilities related to the regulation of hemp products in Tennessee.
