**On Monday, September 19th, Williamson County Schools (WCS) informed the Tennessee Public Charter School Commission (TPCSC) that due to extenuating circumstances, they are unable to attend the previously agreed upon Wednesday, September 21st public hearing. Representatives of both WCS and Founders Classical of Brentwood agreed to hold the public hearing as scheduled, without WCS’s testimony. The TPCSC will return to Williamson County Administrative Complex on Monday, October 3rd at 9:00 a.m. to hear WCS’s testimony, including their opening statement, answers to the Executive Director’s questions, and their closing statement.  There will be no public comments at the October 3rd meeting. The meeting will be open to the public, and a separate agenda can be found on the TPCSC website. 

**The in-person public comment form has been deactivated because we have reached capacity for in-person, oral comments at this public hearing. The form is closed to any further sign ups. You may provide a written comment regarding this public hearing, please follow the link at the bottom of this meeting page to submit it. All comments, written and oral, are weighed equally.

Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated (T.C.A.) § 49-13-108, public charter school sponsors may appeal the denial of an application by a local board of education to the Tennessee Public Charter School Commission. The Tennessee Public Charter School Commission’s decision on appeal shall be final and not subject to further appeal. An appeal of a charter school application to the Commission is governed in accordance with T.C.A. § 49-13-108(b)(5) and the Commission Rules and Policies.   • Public Comment Sign-up Form (In-person) Public comments will be limited to 2 minutes per individual, and no more than 15 individuals will be able to provide in-person comment during the meeting.
