The rulemaking hearing is on April 27, 2021. A proposed rule that will create a commercial use authorization to allow those who wish to engage in commercial activities at one or more state parks or state natural areas to obtain a permit to do so.

No in-person hearing will be held. The purpose of this rulemaking is to provide a means by which a person may make a demonstration or small-group demonstration on Tennessee State Park property and ensures the appropriate and intended use of Tennessee State Parks by the general public.

No in-person hearing will be held. This proposed rule is intended to provide a means and guidelines under which a person may hold a special event on Tennessee State Park property. It provides the procedures for all persons intending to host a special event on state park property to obtain a permit from the Director of State Park Operations for Tennessee State Parks or the Director’s designee. This chapter also provides the standards for hosting a special event on state park property.

No in-person hearing will be held. This rulemaking addresses permits issued by the Commissioner to commercial outfitters providing guided rafting trips on the Ocoee River.

Rulemaking hearing is on August 31, 2020, at 10:00 am CDT in Conference Rooms A, B & C on the 2nd Floor of the Tennessee Tower. This rule provides guidance to park guests as to where unmanned aircraft systems may be flown in parks and the process for obtaining a permit to do so.

This rule creates a system where citations can be served on individuals to notify them of the intent to seek assessment of civil penalties through the Attorney General’s Office for violations of State  Park rules and to seek a voluntary payment of such penalties.
