2025 Tennessee Educator Survey
The Tennessee Educator Survey (TES) is the most important annual survey used to understand the experience of educators across Tennessee. Each year, the department and Tennessee Education Research Alliance at Vanderbilt University (TERA) gather this information to empower stakeholders and decision-makers across the state to better meet the needs of teachers. Nearly 42,000 educators participated in this year’s survey. Learn more about the 2025 Tennessee Educator Survey through the Tennessee Educator Survey 2025 Overview and website.
The 2025 survey was open from February 24th to April 14th, 2025. Districts and schools with at least a 45% participation rate received aggregate results from the survey to inform decisions at the local level. As an appreciation for teachers’ participation in the survey, six schools with over a 90% participation rate were randomly selected to receive a $5,000 staff appreciation grant. Congratulations to this year’s recipients:
- Millington Primary School
- New Prospect Elementary
- Kirkwood High School
- Rockwood High School
- A. Maceo Walker Middle
- Gladeville Middle School
