TDOE Announces 2026-27 Perkins Reserve Grant Awards Total $2.6M
Nashville, TN–Today, the Tennessee Department of Education announced that more than $2.6 million in Perkins Reserve Grant (PRG) funds have been awarded to 58 school districts for the 2026-27 school year to support Career and Technical Education (CTE) statewide.

State Assessment Results Show Sustained Momentum in Achievement for Students Statewide
Nashville – Today, the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) released the 2025-26 Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) state–level results, showing growth in academic proficiency among students statewide. Third grade student achievement reached its highest level since at least 2017 in English Language Arts (ELA), and fourth graders also made substantial proficiency gains in mathematics.
