The RTW Coordinator Training Program is a part of the Bureau’s REWARD program. This free, online training brings professionals together to discuss best-practices to coordinate a meaningful return to work after a work-related injury.

This free training will explain how case managers can help injured workers by using the resources, funds, and expertise of the Next Step Program.

The Medical Advisory Committee is comprised of practitioners in the medical community having experience in the treatment of workers’ compensation injuries, representatives of the insurance industry, employer representatives, and employee representatives to assist the administrator in the development of the treatment guidelines and advise the administrator on issues relating to medical care in the Workers’ Compensation system.

An adjustment was made to the IRS business standard mileage rate. Tennessee's workers’ comp mileage reimbursement rate mirrors the Comprehensive Travel Regulations Policy for state employees. That policy adopts the IRS business standard mileage rate as the reimbursement rate of the State.

The one-day Tennessee-specific educational conference in Nashville that was focused on medical topics for treating injured workers on Saturday, May 20, 2023 is now canceled.

Individuals interested in recognizing the outstanding work of a workers' compensation professional can submit a nomination by filling out a nomination form online.

The committee hears disputes on medical bill payments between providers and insurers and advises the administrator on issues relating to the medical fee schedule and medical care cost containment in the workers’ compensation system.

Effective March 1, 2023, requests for settlement approval for residents of these counties must be presented at the Montgomery County Courthouse and may not be presented in Nashville. A special setting at Nashville or another Court location may be requested by filing a motion with the court clerk.

The REWARD Program Advisory Committee’s purpose is to be a resource for the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation on issues related to its mission of returning employees to work and reducing disabilities.

The Bureau is for looking for thought leaders with engaging and informative presentations that can improve injury outcomes, cooperation between stakeholders and the quality and efficiency of the Tennessee workers' compensation system. Topics should be of interest to an audience of 500+.
